ABOUT PATARA

Pure nature - that is Patara in Lycia on the southern Turkish coast. A cozy small village, an oasis with some nice small hotels and lovingly designed restaurants and bars offer international and Turkish food and drinks.

In the village center there is a Hamam (steam room) in which you can relax and enjoy a massage. The atmosphere is cozy, simple, typically Turkish and very authentic. Patara is situated in a nature reserve and historic excavation area which are among the best preserved ruins of the ancient port city. Only in 2005, archaeologists discovered here the probably one of the oldest lighthouse in the world.

World first parliament building was completely restored and opened to visitors in 2012. From the village, along the ancient ruins, a road leads you to the most beautiful beach of Turkey, for some people it is the most beautiful beach in the world.

It offers 12 km of fine sandy beach and a very clean sea. The beautiful beach invites you for a walk or a hike and you can also take wonderful horseback rides and spend romantic moments at sunset.
